Paul Marshall Bray is president of P.M. Bray LLC, an environmental and planning law firm in Albany. Bray has extensive experience with the New York State Legislature. As a former Senior Bill Drafter in the Legislative Bill Drafting Commission, he was a primary drafter in areas including environment, health and education for many state legislators from both parties during a period from 1970-1999. He has also worked with local, state, federal and international organizations and with the nonprofit sector. He is the Founding President of the Albany Roundtable Civic Lunch Forum and a founder of the New York Park and Conservation Association. He has served on numerous Boards of nonprofit organizations and is a member of the World Commission on Protected areas and the IUCN Commission on Environmental Law. He teaches in the Graduate Department of Geography and Planning at the University at Albany, writes a regular column for the Times Union and is a Senior Associate of the AHC Group and Managing Editor of its quarterly electronic publication entitled Corporate Strategy Today. He is the recipient of numerous honors, awards and recognitions including the Rome Prize from the American Academy in Rome.
Eye from Albany provides Bray's explanatory insights on a wide range of public policy and governmental subjects as seen from his vantage point in Albany.
